S : Yes, thanks. I’m trying to get to Rockefeller Center. I’m going to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
J : Oh, Rockefeller Center from here, the easiest way to get there is by subway. But it’s a five to ten-minute walk from the station. Is that right?
S : I don’t mind walking. (But it’s very cold and I might get lost.)
J : Are you used to walking around New York?
S : No, not really and I don’t want to get lost.
J : Well, it is pretty cold so I’ll tell you how to get to the subway station directly connected to Rockefeller Center. How does that sound?
S : That sounds good. Could you tell me how to get to that station?
J : You just need to transfer once. Are you used to taking train?
S : Yeah, actually I live in Japan and I take trains all the time.
J : Oh, okay. So first take the Blue Line. Then at Washington Square Station, transfer to the Orange Line. Did you get that?
S : Yeah, first I take the Blue Line and then I transfer to the Orange Line at a station called Washington Square. Is that right?
J : Be sure to transfer at Washington Square Station. It’s five or six stops from here. Okay?
S : Yep, transfer at Washington Square Station five or six stops from here.
