Chris, “in the hospital” or “in hospital”?
クリス、「in the hospital」それとも「in hospital」ですか？
Of course, “in hospital” is better. No, basically, in British English, we don’t use “the” for “in the hospital”.
もちろん、「in hospital」の方がいいですよね。いや、基本的にイギリス英語では、「in the hospital 」に 「the」は使いません。
And in American English, you do use “the hospital”.
そして、アメリカ英語では、「the hospital」を使います。
So, please take your pick.
ですから、お好きな方をお選びください。

ねぇ、「scorching」のイメージは？
Well, for me, it’s like the image of fire like a torch burning.
私の場合は、松明が燃えているような火のイメージですね。
Umm, yeah, I imagine flames. You know it’s such intense heat the lunch frizzles up. And flames are everywhere.
うーん、そうですね、私は炎を想像します。ええっと、ランチが高熱で焦げているような。至るところに炎があがっています。
