この歌、前もピックアップしたのですが、好きなのでもう一回。
　この歌で学習したい点は文法もさる事ながら、ズバリ連音、liaison（リエゾン）です。2曲ともアメリカ人による歌で全体的にリエゾンが多く、アメリカ英語の特徴的な丸みのある音が続きます。

I never felt nothing in the world like this before

ここは nothin in ne world という感じで nothing の g、それからアメリカ英語なので、冠詞 the が 「ナ」という音で発音されています。ter, the は弱音化すると「ナ」と発音されます。

You could have let me know の部分。have は 「ァッ」くらいにしか発音されていません。聞こえましたか？
I'm all alone. の all も副詞。ここでは「まったく」とか「すっかり」という意味。発音も母音が多く liaison も多いので、難しいと思います。
So nowI'mallalone. を一息で！

これは今、mouthbird先生がお題に出している仮定法ですね。
　「いてくれたらよかったのに！（でも実際はいない）」という感じでしょうか。
　you couldの前に、I wish が省かれているように思います。

but 以下は「（までも、いてくれたとしても）もう僕にチャンスはくれないだろうな」というところでしょうか？　ちょっと自信ないです。

おおお、これも今回問題に出てた部分ですね！　With 〜, というフレーズで、「〜という条件なら、...」という言い方です。
「君がそばにいないなんて、正直耐えられないよ。」というところでしょうか。

　この they は all my tears ですね。女々しくも自分が泣いている事を告白してます。せつね〜！！！　胸キュンです！

この that は副詞。「そんなにおれが気に入らない（＝避けたい、嫌な）のか？」

２曲目のカバー曲では、this is not how ... の how の h が消えているのがわかりますか？ h の音も実は消えやすいです。

　how が先行詞を含む関係節を作っている事にも注目したいです。
●This is not the way.
●You want to be HOW.
この２文を先行詞 the way を含む形式でhow を関係代名詞として一文になっています。

訳は「こんなの、君が望んでいることじゃないよ」くらいの感じです。

この if it takes のところ、とても発音が難しいです。if it takes は発音上、ifiッ takes となり、it の t は発音されていません。it の i は若干、「ェッ」と発音する感じにすると、nativeには、そこに it がある事を理解してくれるでしょう。

ここは文法的に注目したいところ。
この普通文を考えてみたい。
What will take 〜. の主語としてではなく、What will it take to DO ということは、この What は疑問代名詞の目的語で、強調のため文頭に来ているということ。

　通常文は
　It will takes (what) to make you come back.

　であり、it を主語にとり、takeで「（〜に労力、空間、材料などを）必要とする」という意味となり、「どうすれば君をとりもどせるんだ？」という（SVOCの５文系を形成する）文だという事です。
It takes 2 hours (for somebody) to DO ... . という中学、高校でもおなじみの構文です。
