例文を見てみる。
例文はシンプルなもの、イメージしやすいものがいいよね。
あとは繰り返して声に出して読み、覚えられるくらいがいい。
ココネの例文をメモしたものもあるので、覚えていて懐かしい人もいるかも？ww

なお、口語では決まり文句以外はwereでなくて、wasを使うと書いてありましたが、私がわかりやすいようにあえてwereで書いてあるものもあります。

＜１＞仮定法過去・・・現在の事実に反する仮定／現在実現の可能性の低い（ほとんどない）仮定（if節を過去形で書く）

＜１－１＞　現在に反する仮定（過去形）＋現在の内容（過去形で書く）

　If I were a bird, I could fly to you.
=As I am not a bird, I can't fly to you. ←現在＋現在の内容

　If I had money, I could buy it.
=As I don't have money, I can't but it.

If it were fine, I would go for a walk.
=As it is not fine, I won't go for a walk.

If I were you, I would apply for the job.

If we carried it together, we could save time.

If he was alive, we would be celebrating his birthday today.

If there was only one piece, I would let you have it.

If it stopped raining, we could go out.

If I could drive, I would take you sight seeing.

If I went to N.Y., I would go to the Statue of Liberty.

If I could fly, I would travel all over the world.

＜１－２＞現在に反する仮定（過去形）＋過去の内容（過去完了形で書く）
　If he were in this town, I should have met before this.
　（もし彼がこの町にいれば、これまでにあっているはずだが。）

＜２＞未来について、将来実現の可能性の低い仮定→仮定法未来＝過去形で書く。
　If S + should/were to + 原形，命令文
　If S + should/were to + 原形，S + 過去形の助動詞（would，could，should，might) + 原形

should > were to(より可能性が低い)

cf. 直説法・・・if S + 現在形，S + 未来形(will + 原形）
ただの条件文

　If you should see John, give him my regards.
ジョンに会ったら、よろしく言ってくれ。

If he should hear of it, he would be surprised.
もし彼がそれを聞いたら、ビックリするだろうに。
