そこにアルコールでやけどするなんて、(((((( ；ﾟДﾟ))))))ｶﾞｸｶﾞｸﾌﾞﾙﾌﾞﾙ

どの程度の範囲に火傷を負ったのかわかりませんが、普通壊死するまで火傷するほど放っておかないのに、まわりのナースは何をやってたんだか。なんで敗訴になるのか理解できません。さすがアメリカの裁判は常識を逸脱してますねｗ

問題はなんとか全問正解しました。でも知らない単語がおおかったなあ。

病院とは和解したということなので、病院から慰謝料がでてるとは思いますが、
でも医師にも責任あると思うんですけどね。

I actually have a very similar experience.
Right after I had my son through C-section 18 years ago, my son got burned and it was due to the doctor's failure. He was taken to the NICU at another hospital, and nobody informed me about the accident until I fully recovered from the operation. My husband and I lived overseas then, and I was temporarily living with my parents in Japan just to give a birth.
The hospital immediately offered me an out-of-court settlement. My husband talked to a lawyer and we decided to accept their compensation plan. One thing which made me so sad and indignant was that I couldn't get receive any face-to-face apology from the very doctor; who came to meet me were the hospital director and his secretary only. Another thing is that, since the day when my son got burnt, everybody in the hospital workers, who had been once so friendly and nice, changed their attitude to me and tried to avoid me; they just mechanically did their work, but stopped smiling at me, stopped being nice to me, I was so alone in hospital.
By the way, do you know 'the price of burn injury' differs between boys and girls? That's what our layer told us.

そうそう、やけどはたしか女性のほうがたかいんですよね？
でも死亡した場合の賠償金は、生涯に稼げる金額の平均ということで男性のほうが高いと聞いた気がします。
