S : Can you see the big alligator in the water?
J : Wow! I’ve never seen an alligator with my own eyes.

S : Is there a mosquito on my neck?
J : Oh, yeah. (swat) I got it.

S : Are you scared of bugs?
J : No, not really. I used to love catching butterflies and beetles. I hate cockroaches and mosquitoes, though.

DAY 15
J : Hi, y’all! To enjoy the swamp animals. First, let’s train your ears. I’ll make an animal sound. Listen. (ジェニーさんの何かよくわからない鳴き声)
What’s this animal?
S : It’s definitely a bird. Maybe an eagle?
J : It’s a pelican. It’s Louisiana’s State Bird. Can you find any pelicans out there in the swamp?
S : Yeah, I see one that’s a brown pelican.
J : Look! A pelican is flying up there. He drove into the water to get some fish. Oh are you scared of bugs?
S : No, not really. I used to love catching butterflies and beetles. I hate cockroaches, though. Why do you ask?
J : Ah, actually hold still. There’s a bug on your pants leg. It is a praying mantis. Do you see it?
S : What! Go on little guy.
J : Okay well, next. Here are your binoculars. Let’s try them. Just focus on that sign. Oh my golly! Can you see the big alligator in the water?
S : Wow! I’ve never seen an alligator with my own eyes. It’s pretty scary.
J : Oh, she’s coming closer and you are in for a treat. There is a baby alligator right there too. What do you think?
S : It’s actually so cute. oh, I need to take a picture.

　ここの下りで、ピシャンとかを叩いちゃうのはびっくりしました。
いくらなんでも、他人を叩いちゃうとか、ありなのかなぁ。。。

　あと、最後のところ。
：J : No, not rely.
これは、not reallyのように聞こえるんですが、どうでしょう？

本日再放送を聞きながらタイピングしたものチェックしていていくつかミスに気が付きました。
not relyなんて笑ってしまいました！もちろんnot reallyです。

I’ve never seen an alligator before.のbeforeが抜けていたのと

cicadaは多分cicadasです。
sの音が聞こえなかったのですが辞書で調べたらこのsの音は単数のときの発音は
[sәkéıdǝ] 複数のときには [sǝkéıdae/-di]となっていたので私が思っていた発音ではなかったのでsは付けなかったのですが文法的にsは必要なのでcicadasだと思いました。
こんな中途半端な発音なら単複同形にしてほしいですｗ

蚊を見て反射的に手がでるのはわかるけどさすがに蚊が止まっているか聞かれては叩かないと思いますけど、、、
私は隣の奥さんと立ち話してるときにその人が連れていた犬の頭に蚊が止まっているのを見たときに反射的に思いっきり叩いてしまいました。それからしばらくその犬は私を見るとウッと威嚇してきましたｗ
