Thanks for inviting me to this Japanese restaurant.

Sure. I hope you'll like it.

You ordered already, right?

Yes. Is there anything that you don't eat?

Oh. I eat anything except fried food.

That's good. We'll have one dish with eggs. I hope that's OK.

10 second challenge (お好み焼きの場合)

Tell me about this dish you ordered for us.

It's a popular dish. It's like an omelet and a pancake.
It has eggs, vegetables and pork inside. Here's the picture in the menu.

What's the best way to eat this dish?

Put this sauce on it like this.
And sprinkle this on it, but don't sprinkle too much. Then cut it with this like this.

Thanks for inviting me to this Japanese restaurant.

Sure. I hope you'll like it.

You ordered already, right?

Yes. Is there anything that you don't eat?

Oh. I don't eat fried food. I hope that's OK.

No problem. I ordered a dish with eggs and pork and some side dishes.

Aside from fried food, I eat anything.

That's good.

Oh. Here's the server with a first dish. This looks good. So what is this called in Japanese?

It's called "Okonomiyaki".

So tell me about this dish that you ordered for us.

It's a popular dish. It's like an omelet and a pancake. It has eggs, vegetables and pork inside.

I see. OK. Do we say a prayer before we eat?

We can if you like. It's up to you.

What do you usually say before you begin a meal in Japan?

In Japan before anyone eats, we say " Itadakimasu ".

I see. " Itadakiasu ". OK. I'll try it. It's wonderful.

I'm glad you like it.

Just one more thing, I don't eat raw food like sushi. No offence.

Tell me about this dish you ordered for us.
→ Tell me about this dish that you ordered for us.

 あと、No offense.

No offense → None taken.

None
