When I was a child, I liked Tiny Dolphin.

Japanese anime and manga are really popular around the world.
What do you think about that ?

At first, I was surprised.
I'm glad that people can understand the humor and style from anime or manga.
It's become global.

Are there any anime or manga from Japan that you think the world should know about ?

Yes. I suggest a manga called X Banana.
It's funny.
I wonder if people can understand the humor, though. Translating humor is not easy.

は、それぞれ特定の人を指しているようなので、全部頭は大文字のほうがいいんじゃないでしょうかね？

前も小文字にしてしまっていましたね。
書きとるのに必死で大文字にするのをすっかり忘れてました＾＾；
特定の人を指す場合は king, queen, prince, も大文字にしなければいけませんね。
こういうところもよくわかっていませんでした。

英語を話すときは、気にしなくても大丈夫なんだけど、たま～に自分で書くとなると
いちいち迷って筆が止まってしまいます。　

で、Painless Grammar という英文法の本を取り出してみました。



（なか見検索できますよ）

名詞の説明のなかで。。

Ranks and titles, but only when used with a particular person's name.
(階級、役職は特定の人の名前とともに使われた時だけ大文字で表す。)

大文字にする：

This is Doctor Smith, this is Aunt Anne, and that man is General Bradshow.
（こちらはスミス先生、こちらはアン叔母さん、そしてあの男性はブラッドショー将軍です。）


大文字にしない：

That man is my doctor, that woman is my aunt, and that man is a general in the army.
（あの男性は私の主治医の先生、あの女性は私の叔母です、そしてあの男性は陸軍大将です。）

今回のスキットをゴガグルでみると、大文字が正解のようですね。

誰のことか特定されているから、なんですね。

ニュース記事など見ると、すべて名前とともに大文字で使われていますね。
