a○Short Story 2-5 2/16 "HANS IN LUCK" -THE BROTHERS GRIMM FAIRY TALES-
グリム童話の和訳をぜひお願いします~~
（どこを訳してもらっても構いません。一部でも、全部でももちろん構いません。順番やかぶりはご遠慮することなく書き込みください^^)

He was trying to milk it but his managing the matter is very clumsily.
【2】
The cow began to feel uneasy and think him very troublesome.
【3】
At last the cow gave him such a kick on his head as knocked him down.
【4】
He lay a long while senseless there.
【5】
Luckily a butcher soon came by, taking a pig.
【6】
“What is the matter with you, my man?” said the butcher, as he helped him up.
【7】
Hans told him what had happened and how he was dry.
【8】
The butcher gave him a glass of water.
【9】
The butcher said, “Hey, drink and refresh yourself.”
【10】
“It’s a pity your cow can’t give you no milk”
【11】
“Don't you see the cow is so old that you can’t milk it.”
【12】
Hans said. “Who would have thought it?”
【13】
“What a shame to take my horse.”
【14】
“I got only a dry cow!”
【15】
“A dry cow becomes only cow-beef.”
【16】
“But I don’t want to kill the cow, I hate cow-beef.”
【17】
“If it were a pig now, it would change into some sausages.”
【18】
The butcher said, “I don't like to say no, when one is asked to do a kind”
【19】
“To please you I will change, and give you my fine fat pig for the cow.”
【20】
“Thank you for your kindness!” said Hans, as he gave the butcher the cow.

He took the pig, holding it by the string that was tied to its leg.

彼は 乳をしぼろうとしましたが、 彼の努力は 徒労に終わりました。

うんうん。乳臭いっていいますよね、乳牛ではなくなって引き取られた牛肉って。

legsじゃないから、脚一本だけに紐がついていたのかなあ？
紐にtheがついている理由もよくわからない。
