↑知らなかった！　名詞だとばかり思っていて、調べもしませんでした。

てっきり、call it a day の仲間だと思ったんで・・・

最終週のreview test はちょっと厳しかったです＾＾
出来としては半分強～２／３くらいの出来かな？
なんとなくは覚えていたけど、ちょっと惜しい感じのが多かったです。

でもこれで無事に今月も続けられました♡　←○保方さんっぽい？ww

木曜のWhat～やHow～などという言い方は、ほんと言い方を気をつけないと危険＾＾；

テキストの最後に、今月の重要表現とSay it 各12個を復習しました。

の説明が、「電気料金を小切手で郵送する」と、言っていたと思うのですが
「小切手で」というのは、どこから？
郵送するから、小切手しかないってことですかね？
electric bill と聞くと、どうしても電気料金（の請求書）と思ってしまうのですが…

郵送だから、わざわざ「小切手で」って書き加えてあるのでしょうか？

少し検索してみましたが、確かにeletirc bill だと、請求書を意味したり、電気代そのものを差したりするようですね。

mail the electric bill だと、請求書を郵送したのか、電気代を小切手で郵送したのか、分からないような・・・

どなたか分かる方、お願いします。

テキストを買い始めて3～4ヶ月。
皆さんは巻末のクロスワードをやったことありますか？
基本的にはクロスワード大好きで日本語の場合比較的得意だと思っていますが、
このテキストのクロスワードは難しい！まあ英語のは難しいことも多いのですが、全部のヒントを見て辞書無しでわかるのが1～3個程度＾＾；
後は必死に調べ倒しました。
5～7月号を終えましたが正直、楽しくなかった＾＾；　必死すぎてww
単語自体知らないこともあるし、文化的に知識として不足していることも多くて・・・

続いて、London Calling も読んでみました。これも難しくていっぱい調べました。
今日は2014/４月号を読みました。
hedgehog（ハリネズミ）の話でしたが、なかなか面白かったです。
イギリス英語っていうことも尚更だったのかも知れません。
調べた単語を書いておきます。長くなってすみません。

遠山先生はクロスワード作りもなさるんです。本も出されているとか。

でも・・・・難しすぎます。
そして、かなり無理矢理なところもあって「？」なので、過去に数回挑戦したきりです。

先日機内のゲームにあったクロスワードはもうちょっと素直だったので、続けてやりたいと思いましたけど。（それでも５分の１も埋められなかった）

ネットで探しても、EASYって書いてあっても結構難しいことあるんだよね。

先生、本まで出してるんだ！もう完全に調べるの前提だよね、あれ。
少しでも語彙増強になればと思ってやってみます＾＾

えるママに触発されて、London Calling　（６月号）を読みました。

これは・・・易しかったよ。
鳥の名前は辞書を引いてもどうせわからないと思ったので、想像の翼で済ませました。
画像検索すれば出てくると思うけどね。

私もバードウォッチングに凝ってた時期があったので、余計読みやすかったのかも。

も使えるとのこと。

でも、辞書には名詞・名詞句の例文しか載っていないし、Webで調べてもほとんど出てきません。

かろうじて、ほとんどスラングに近い話し言葉でだけ使われると書いてある記事を見つけました。

behind は「～の後ろに」だけど、日本語的には「ハンドルの前」という言い方が適当かも。
つまり sit behind the wheel で、ハンドルの前に座る，運転席に座る⇒「運転する」の意味なんですね。at the wheel とも。

ようやく2014年7月Week2終わりました。
金曜の成績は、40/48＝83%で先週と同じくらい。
ただ、スペルミスを３つもしてしまいました。
まぁまぁこれくらいで続けられればいいかな？

私は遅れず毎日聞いています。
今月のダイアログは、遠山先生の経験から作られたとのこと。
なかなかおもしろいです。

最初は文句ばかり言っていた（crabby）Harveyが、腹をくくってRVを借りた途端、前向きになって気持ちが良いくらい。
おかげで夫婦円満で、よかったね～。

はい～＾＾；　今週も１週遅れのWeek3やります。
